Very superstitious,
Writing's on the wall,
Very superstitious,
Ladders bout' to fall
Thirteen month old baby,
Broke the lookin' glass
Seven years of bad luck,
The good things in your past
When you believe in things
That you don't understand,
Then you suffer,
Superstition aint the way

What is "having Jimmy's egg" code for? I'm pretty sure it's a pooping reference, just not exactly sure what it means...

Wife wants all the paint stripped off the front porch. Not a huge job, it's just an angled 4x4 with a couple horizontal pieces that supports the roof overhang over the 5x5 concrete pad.

Been at it for a few days with chemical strippers and scraping but there's gotta be 10+ layers on there. So today hitting it with power tools. Scotchbrite pad thingy on an angle grinder followed by orbital sanding disks.

Was trying to avoid the big tools so I don't gouge the wood n stuff but I'll just have to sand it out.

Only took 2 hours. Had to shower when it was all done. First coat was probably when it was built in the late 40s, so figured somewhere in there was lead paint.

Dug up the garden too. Carrots n onions can stay a little longer but the rest of the plants were done. Habaneros did not do well this year. Usually have a ton of peppers, but only had 3 this year. Chickens loving the collard greens. I'd harvested them 3x already, and still had massive bushes. Didn't feel like making another batch so just gave an to the birds

High and dry on the end of a ridge that overlooks the valley. Ground is saturated though. A monster tree from across the street fell over and blocked off the road. Rather than turn around and backtrack to another road to get them going west, some of the knuckleheads went muddin in the ditch and tore it all up. Don't care all that much, cause I'm tucked way back in the woods, but it isn't the best first impression when someone comes to see the house.

Never seen so much standing water in the area though.

Glad you're dry Spey,
but wish you could have yourself a drink once in a while...
