I recieved my first shipment today, and I was wondering if my smokes were good to go right out of the box or if I should give them a day or so in my humidor.

Thanks!!

Welcome.

I'm sure you will get a few different answers. I say smoke them now and see what happens. In my experience if anything they have arrived over humidified rather than under. That said it's been awhile since I've ordered anything.

I’ve smoked many cigars right off the truck with zero problems. It has been my experience that most will be better with a couple weeks or more of rest time though. Try it out and experiment for yourself.

Yep. Fire one up and see what you think. Stash the rest. Keep notes. Work through them and see what your opinion is in the coming weeks.

Generally my experience is they seem to be better after a couple of weeks as Phil said. A month is even better.

Assuming one practices good humidor maintenance. 😁

Thanks everyone!! I'm a humidor fanatic haha. Have a small one right now, but that's sure to change right quick lol

most cigars will benefit from some time in a humidor after delivery...I've seen many that were too wet causing draw and burn issues and harshness...let them sit for a while, at 60-65 RH

Waiting is recommended and I've seen improvement doing so. That said, I have no chill so usually one gets fired up ASAP

I age all of my cigars for a minimum of 40 years. Too young and you'll just get ammonia.
