It’s 1449 at Whitaker 1669 for the pro. No taxes, free shipping and my ffl charges $15.

$1474 to my door. Have to be a sub $1300 gun to break even locally.

I don't know what you would be using it for but have you looked at their M4A1...…..perfect for up close and personal business with that 14" bbl.Field tested by the best going on 15 years now.I've shot it,I love it,if we weren't travelling out of the country this year I think I'd already have this one on lay-a-way.

If you want an 18" bbl I'd look at the DD5V4 in 308...…….this also on my wish list

Happy New Year...………..may it be a damn sight better than the last

I don’t have anything in 5.56 and think I should. You just talked me out of the pro. It’s 18. The v7 is 16. I’ll look at the shorter variant too, but I have my modified scorpion that is basically an sbar other than it uses a “brace” so no stamp needed.

Happy New Years to you as well. It’s what you make of it. Last year wasn’t so bad 🙂.

Where you goin out of country?

I think I’m headed back to AK fishing with my dad, and when I’m truly back healthy I think we are going to explore somewhere in Northern Europe and into parts of Russia.

My 9mm's are "pistols" as well. I flat out love them. I've quit buying expensive AR's though. There are enough quality parts out there and are so easy to build I do my own. Much more cost effective and just as reliable. I've never had one of mine go south.

Having a mill and a stack of 80% lowers in various configurations never hurts either. 😁

The first carbine I built I did a worst case test with. Minimal maintenance or cleaning and it just kept running. Guys that have lots of issues usually find it's the magazines. Guys buy 1500 rifles and then buy cheap surplus mags. "Why won't this thing feed?"

I'm going to be purchasing a Beretta M9 soon. I have 3 handguns already, but what the hell... there is no other handgun with which I am more proficient than that one. I have fired thousands of rounds through them, so it kinda makes sense to have one.

That's my rationale, anyway... 😁

It’s all about which gun you more proficient shooting. For every day I have an assortment of Glocks. They come with a few different grip sizes so I get a good fit and I like the way I’m able to take up slack easier than some other brands.

I’d stay away from .380 because the ammo is 1 1/2 - 2x more expensive than 9mm.

.40 S&W is a nice round, but follow shots tend to be a bit slower due to recoil velocity.

I prefer 9mm because it stay on target better.

YMMV

I can’t imagine finding a hand gun that is more natural for me to shoot than my cz 75. It aims itself the moment it’s in my hands. I honestly think I could shoot it ok blindfolded.

I’m still leaning 5.56. Just glad I talked myself out of a KAC. Found a good price locally and almost did it. It’s gone now. A shop employee bought it.
