He wants a 2 year deal.

He's likely still better than most starting QB's in the NFL right now, even at his age.

If I were a GM I would be looking to the future, though. He's a gamble at his age to tie up as much money as he will command.

So, going through the mental gymnastics...
-take Brady off the Pats..
-list near great teams that are a top QB away from SB

Patriots and who else?

Brady isn't going to go play for an Ohio team or a Florida team....he'd retire before striving to get to .500 next couple years...is Buffalo in the mix? Denver?

Seems there's not likely a better fit for Brady or for a team than the Pats

I agree with the last sentence. He's lead a storybook career that will most likely never be beaten. I was heartbroken when Dallas let Emmitt go. That man bled Silver, blue and stars, and I HATE Dallas! Just business. It would be nice to see NE keep him. If he does want a 2 year deal, then it gives them 2 years to find and groom a replacement under a HoF player and coach. In this day and age it would send a message.

There are teams that will rework their teams payroll to see if he fits and he's said it would have to be a competitive team. Denver? Can they afford it? I don't think Elway's ego could take it. Gruen loves him some veteran QB and would love to see Carr gone but he doesn't have the cash. but he could trade all of those picks to NE...if...they sign and then trade him but that revokes everything I said above.

.....going to keep playing until his skill set has eroded to the "pathetic" stage? Check.

.....a person that I am happy to not watch in the playoffs because watching him and his team is like watching paint dry? Check

The next team to beat Brady in a super bowl should get to parade Giselle Down broad Street at the victory parade. Go EAGLES 2021
