No, 1960's. My grand parents still used to shut off the heat in the upstairs and open the windows for winter. Gramps would slaughter a beef and a couple of hogs and hang them up there. Grandma would cut off what she wanted as she needed it. Hell they had an outhouse until the mid 70's when they got flooded out and bought a house trailer. Gramps turned the old house into his garage.No biggy. Just the way it was.
