Hopefully, it will get to at least 70 here today!! But not likely!!!! Crazy weather is not uncommon here, so there's that, but the forecast is calling for 39 degrees tonight and I still need to plant some red okra beside the house. I was keeping sunflowers in that spot, but they were drawing mice as well as the Goldfinches and Cardinals. I have the seeds soaking, just got to get them in the ground today. They don't like cool weather, but I have another packet if this round doesn't make it. It's a Southern facing wall with pea gravel covering the spot. It's where all the utility "drops" are under ground and come up to the leads/meter on the side of the brick. Stays warmer in that spot, so maybe that will help.

Forecast has rain on tomorrow and a high of 62, low of 36, clear Saturday and high of 61, then down to 39, so if I make the Vherf to smoke, it will be with a jacket on and likely in the garage, we shall see. Been texting with Jnic and trying to get him back on the Vherf, but he said that no-one gets to talk, LMAO!!! Well at least aside from Celtic, hehe. I told him we could always vote to mute him for a bit, LOL.

Morning ya varmints. Beautiful 72 this morning on my 5 mile hard walk but ugly 106 this afternoon. It's what they call "unseasonably warm" for May. Going to Home Depot to look at a cantilever umbrella for the pool and me.

Do you use misters? Picked up a $25 set at the depot last year... Never thought I'd be comfortable in 105 degrees, but they definitely do wonders...

Never used them although as dry as it is here they work well until July/Aug when the monsoon hits. I'm plenty cool in the pool as long as there is shade.

Actually, I think the Asian Hornet has been here for a few years, just in a few spots out west. Likely some pupae were in some pallets that were delivered to Washington State. They're not that dangerous to humans as far as getting stung, it's the fact that they decimate bee hives and colonies. They are one of the only meat eating hornets, and LOVE bees.

The sodomy geese don't want to hurt anyone. They are just out for a good time.

So I just had an interesting experience....

I open my front door to see if the mail has arrived yet and BAM! A giant fuzzy pair of squirrel nuts right at eye level.
This brazen furry deviant was hanging onto my screen door facing the ground! He didn't even have the decency to run away. The fat pr1ck just hung there, turned his head and stared directly into my soul. I started laughing and he still didn't move. So, I went into the kitchen came back with a handful of some cereal with nuts in it and opened the door (he moved to the railing by this time) and left a giant pile for him on a table outside my door. Enjoy the diabetes I plan on giving you, you overgrown fluffy tailed rat!

If I were going to college I think I could prosecute under title 9. I could just claim I was drunk and therefore not responsible for my actions and that dirty privileged male would be behind bars.....

I'm still trying to work out the math to figure out how he was defying gravity with those HUGE balls.
