64 million budget shortfall for our department... lots of people who just got hired in the last year or two are about to get laid off.

I probably picked a good time to decide on leaving... though it was blind luck and not due to any idea that this was gonna happen.

Only reason I shopped a yeti was the nurse discount. Brought it down enough I thought it would be worth a try. But the one I bought was way too small. If I stuck with yeti, I'd be looking at $450 ($360 after discount) and rtic, Pelican are at 350.

I did the same mental gymnastics last summer and ended up buying a fridge instead. I have a tiny silent 800w generator, and I just run that with the fridge for dry cold storage. Everything else can float in ice baths for a $5 bag of ice every two days in the hottest months.

I don't think I'll be seeking a replacement.
