Looking at a truck and a boat again...

Much nicer boat. 2019 Clearwater 2200 with twin 12" Simrad fish finders, bait station, bluetooth radio, 200HP Suzuki with less than 200 hrs... and right now, the boat center will pay the tax and license. Hmmmmm.

I need a truck. 🤦

OK I'm being cold here but MACS there probably is no better time to do it if you are half way serious. In this one instance current events probably work to your advantage.

My grill is shot. I was waiting for Menards to run their 11% sale to pick up a new one. Or anyone to have a sale.

Not sure what the $300 grill does that a $100 grill can't do. I have three smokers, so I don't need that function. I would like the sturdier cast iron grates since I do burgers on a cast iron plate (thats what wrecks the grates in the grills I've had before)

Since I returned that Yeti cooler, spose this can be my new toy. Just don't know that its worth it. Brother in law has one, but I've only seen him use it for smoking. Usually uses his gas grill for grilling. I hate gas grilling.

Anyone have one of these style grills? I know they can get super expensive, im not looking to buy something like that. But maybe buying the cheapest variant isn't worth it either...

if you don't need a smoker it's pretty hard to beat a weber kettle. I'm trying to remember the name of it but there is a charcoal grill type thing I was looking at made in California that would be perfect for whole hogs as well as large beef cuts yet would work with burgers etc. It will come to me.

I need something durable, I don't really take care of my equipment, it sits out uncovered on the back deck and even if I bought a $1000 grill, it would be the same. Gonna look at that budget kamado vs the Weber kettles and pick what I think will last longer.

There's a reason you don't see many of them on the road. And even fewer old ones.

Noticed a good number of them in the junkyard last time I went part picking tho. Disproportionate to the number I see on the roads.

That's why I put that "(no)" there. Maybe I shoulda put "hell no"?

I really liked my RAM 1500. The reason I got out of it was because in a year and a half it was in the shop twice for the EGR and RAM doesn't have a fix for it. The emissions crap is causing too many issues with the diesels.

Now the Hemi... gets crap gas mileage, but pulls really well and has that same luxurious interior. Looking at that.

New gassers have a leg up on the diesels for intermittent towing.

Unless you always have a trailer, I don't know that a diesel is worth considering. I've been window shopping for years. Even with the worse fuel mileage, I think I'll be going gas again on my next truck.

The emissions issues are universal.

They do have the power tho. Id love to use one, but I don't think I want to own one.
