the media, regardless of viewpoints, are necessary "representatives" of the people, an essential part of our nation's origin--the so-called fourth estate (fourth branch of government)...it is specifically empowered by the Constitution/Bill of Rights....freedom of the press

members of the media are entitled to scrutinize all the other branches of government in order to better inform all citizens...asking questions is the standard means of getting direct response from our elected officials and public servants who are paid by our dollars

Delta, it has gotten too ugly. Kavanaugh was excoriated by the press. He didn't deserve that. About the 5th time someone asks the same question in the same briefing what's the point? He isn't going to change his answer.

We really have had no good choices for awhile. I don’t know how anyone could blindly follow any of them and don’t really think one would be that much better or worse than the other.

Trump is the worst president in my lifetime. I’m ashamed of him and the acceptance of his behavior. Hillary would likely have been the same but we really don’t know. I don’t know how anyone gets excited about either or Biden.

It's just navel gazing, and completely meaningless in real life (and full of "woulda's" with zero ability to back it up) but I have to believe that clinton, while not a great president, would have at least managed to get our COVID response rolling a few weeks earlier. May have saved some lives that way. Maybe not firing a few CDC people... etc.

I don't want to guess much more than that, because it's idle speculation. But even a small improvement there could have had a large impact.
