Bucky I can't even put into words how this makes me feel. Disrespect the giants who founded our country? Then you're my enemy. I say a lot of **** on here to provoke, to think, to laugh, and more. In a large part IDGAF because my opinion won't change anything. But this? Anyone who states it's just a statue is wrong. Anyone who states no big deal is wrong. Anyone who states just protesters is wrong. I think it is an attack on America, but that's just my opinion, and I'm a whiney liberal. I take it really personal. Its an attack on what I believe in. I can't even say what I really want to. That statue is a symbol of a great American and what makes America great.

I think remodeling Juneteenth to more of a St Patrick's day feel would go a long way towards acceptance.Maybe I'm bias but I think us Irish got this one right.......a big happy drunk celebration,who doesn't love that?

Agree, I think it's just become mindless destruction and chanting silly things as a result of mob mentality. Protesting is one thing but using it as a cover or letting it get out of hand to mindless vandalism is just wrong.

It's not going to help the cause or get them closer to the goals that they are trying to achieve. I feel that it's counter productive and will lead to more backlash if they can't focus on positive ways to go at the issues they are trying to change. Ripping down statues, spraying graffiti, and burning stuff ain't helping anything.
