Just sitting here asking my wife about blood clots and the details while reading the post from Cycleman and she just told me he passed from a Hemorrhagic stroke.

Sad to hear, he was one of the good ones.

I had a stud horse as a youngster that I named Diablo, taken from Charlie's song, Caballo Diablo. The little rascal was a mean one and he wound up kicking at the electric fence, which got wrapped around his lower leg around the joint and almost took off his leg a few inches above the hoof as he ran off while it kept sliding around and cutting his leg. He had to be put down. Broke my heart to see him with his leg just dangling, it cut the tendons and nerves so he couldn't even lower his hoof down straight.
