A recent purchase from CigarBid.Com included 20 Rocky Patel Olde World Reserve Madura Cigars. The first one out of the box and on my lips had a STRONG CHEMICAL SMELL and actually left a BURNING SENSATION on my lips. I gave one to a smoking buddy without telling him of my experience. After lighting and puffing his response was the same.
I sent an email to CigarBid.com on 06/26/2020, NO RESPONSE. Sent another email on 06/30/2020, NO RESPONSE! Sent another today, 07/08/2020...…… I will be calling them today.

Please come back and tell us how much that didn't work out for you

Funny, I was thinking the same thing.

Same issue here. Received a box of cigars that had mold and some damaged wrappers on 7/5/2020. Filled out their customer service form asking for an exchange. Didn't receive and answer within 24 hours so I tried calling them. After being on hold for an hour decided to hang up.

After reading the OP's post I guess I should try and salvage what I can from the box and cut my losses.

I made some bids in June, won a few lots, the last one being on the last day of my bidding week. That consisted of two single cigars. The next day my order was shipped, but for some reason, the two singles I bought the day before were not included. They were shipped one week later, at a cost of $6.75. (the cigars were a buck apiece. )

Clearly I should not have been charged a second shipping fee. Clearly, all the cigars I won came from the same bidding week. Clearly, something bad is going on at CI. In all the years I have bought cigars, whether through the catalog or the auction, have they screwed up an order in this fashion and double charged me for something.

As other posters have noted, nobody is answering the phone. Nobody is clearing the complaints off the Dashboard.

And now they are making errors on orders. I fear for company. I think I will nurse my stash awhile until things get back to normal.

CI is a great company and haven from lesser mail order cigar outfits. It would sadden me greatly to see them go down the terlet.
