Looks like Russia is forgoing their Phase III trials and releasing their vaccine.

It's a risk. But a really interesting one. I kinda like it. Not enough to take the vaccine myself or anything. But I'm impressed by their willingness to throw caution to the wind.

Makes me wonder a little bit if their numbers are worse than they're reporting. 15k deaths is not exactly "release an untested vaccine on the entire population" levels of concern.

It's not like he won't be reelected if he kills a few thousand.

Just think of it as one giant stage 3 trial.

Might even be double blind peer reviewed.

Maybe our Russia problem just solved itself.

pretty sure Trump was hoping that he could do something similar before the election...he said we'd have a vaccine by Nov 3...

wonder if they'll roll it out among their imprisoned political opposition?

but since it's Russia, can we trust what they tell us about the efficacy of the vaccine after it's been administered?

Not really. Will need to wait to see what large scale issues the population may have. :)

I'm for one looking forward to the flipper babies.

I would assume it's a placebo meant to quell worry amongst the general population and instill jealousy in and perhaps inspire hasty decision making from other nations...
