I need some suggestions on pipe tobacco. Something deep and full and doesn't smell like stag night at the YMCA that Vic and Drafter like to go to. Lightly aromatic is fine but I don't want to smoke candy.

Gimme some suggestions....anyone ever try C&D's "Bow-Legged Bear"? I wanna give that a shot. No stranger to nicotine but I'm looking for a decent everyday-er and some nicer stuff for evening smokes or after dinner.

Dan tobacco is a really good pipe tobacco company... they make a light aromatic called bill bailey's birthday blend... cured with blue curacao... i really liked it when I occasionally smoked a pipe...

I would suggest some Peter Stockebye selections. You can still buy these by the pound and a half box for under $60 so they don't break the bank.My personal favorite is Luxury Bullseye Flake,a very nice vaper(a little heavy on the perique for some but I love the stuff) that ages extremely well and has a pleasant aroma.A very earthy tobacco with a little stone fruit up front and a very distinct spicy plum flavor on the finish that I love. Luxury Navy Flake may be more up your alley, much lighter in the perique department with a nice citrussy/earth flavor on the front with the plum(perique)playing a much softer role on the back end with a slight vanilla swirl to finish off.Luxury Twist Flake I find just too sweet so I have little experience with it,however I think this is Z's go to IIRC so you may want to hit him up.

Now send me your snailer and I'll send a few small samplers.

Ron I’ve included some LTF for him that’s got a few years on it, yes it’s my go to pipe baccy and I know it has a VERY light topping I swear it’s anise. Some of what KOC mentioned as well, a couple Aeros too.

Nothing crazy like what you did to poor Frank.

jade, just be thankful that the 3rd Pirate (Dave wwwwsomething, a great brother MIA) isn't active currently.
These three guys buried me years ago when I made an innocuous comment about being pipe curious...

Amazingly enough, I still have some left! And I still do a bowl here and there.

I learned that pipe baccy is way more flavorful and interesting than cigars, but I also learned that my smoking time is best for me when it is uncomplicated and allows me to unwind...cut and light a cigar and the working/thinking part is over. But when I'm not lazy or needy, pipe smoking is great.

So you don't want it to smell like stag night at the YMCA, but you do want to consider something called Bow-legged bear?
