This was suggested a couple months ago. But it's difficult to identify whether someone has been infected twice, or whether the negative tests in between were just false negatives.

This particular case, it appears the person has been infected with two separate strains of COVID-19.

The up-side is that it appears the reinfection was mild, a random guess would be some ability by the immune system to recognize the mutated version.

But overall, a potentially bad sign.

well, Trump is pushing for the convalescent plasma treatment that has shown promise...the issue is that it hasn't been tested using the strict measures required by the FDA...


I'm hoping that it will get emergency authorization from the FDA so that it can be used in circumstances where it could be a life saver, while the tests are being done...

read another interesting study...people who are constantly exposed to common cold viruses may have a form of immunity by having higher T cells that attack cold/corona viruses...seems those folks are either asymptomatic of suffer only mild symptoms if they get infected...

The FDA standards have needed to change for a very long time. They are the most rigorous in the world and far beyond reasonable or appropriate. Does anyone really think the high cost of drugs is primarily due to price gouging? The reason drugs in Canada are so reasonably priced is due to realistic standards.
