One of those rare multi talents, did everything on SNL not too long ago.

colo-rectal cancer in his early 40's, went out quietly with dignity. Amazing how much he accomplished while slowly dying the last 4 years.

He played Jackie Robinson in 42 and another serious role that he was great in. Great talent, modest man, eloquent speaker, brave as can be, essentially very few knew.

he hid his illness well...tremendous actor to be able to pull off some of those roles while battling cancer, undergoing chemo...
