Looks like lock downs are coming quickly. I want this country locked down as soon as possible and as many businesses destroyed along with it. I want America to suffer big time for their election choice so at least we can say Covid did not get you, but suicide, drug and alcohol addiction, family abuse, mental health problems will. Seems like a fair trade-off.

Facts please. Meaning a link to a Biden or Harris speach stating this. Otherwise BS.

But we must "flatten the curve" again cause "we're all in this together", follow the science, lock down, wear your face diaper, socially distance or you'll kill grandma. All those other unintended consequences you fret about, the death and destruction are worth it.
Thank you for your cooperation citizen.

Since Biden said in August that he would listen to the scientists and Biden appointed Dr. Osterholm, it follows that shut downs may be coming. I agree that Biden never said specifically that he would shut down the economy, but then Biden commits to nothing, a true weasel.

The US is surging now more than ever before. People are dying.
But many of our fellow knuckle dragging Americans worry about businesses first and refuse to mask up or distance and are worsening the problem.

98.2% survival rate. Lets make it worse by shutting people in, shutting businesses down, and bankrupting many.

Time to panic!!

So, people are dying. Living life has risks and people die everyday from something.

From the CDC for 2018:

Deaths and Mortality
Data are for the U.S.

Death rate: 867.8 deaths per 100,000 population

Number of deaths: 2,839,205
Life expectancy: 78.7 years
Infant Mortality rate: 5.66 deaths per 1,000 live births

Heart disease: 655,381
Cancer: 599,274

Chronic lower respiratory diseases: 159,486
Stroke (cerebrovascular diseases): 147,810
Alzheimer’s disease: 122,019

I don't live my life in fear, I do not wear a mask in public but do so when entering stores. If I choose to enter a building or business I will respect their request that I wear the mask because I did it voluntarily. As far as businesses go, you can not say that destroying them is a good thing. So we save thousands of lives by wearing masks and lock downs and kill thousands from drug overdoses, medical care for cancer treatments not provided and suicide as a result. A trade off that's OK depending on what side of the fence you are on.

The virus will eventually resolve but the consequences from job losses, depression and medical care not received will last much longer. How many lives will the masks and lock downs save in the short term but how many will be lost in the future for doing so. Only time will tell.

Your antipathy is stunning
It is a genuinely irresponsible to sell that people should be allowed to die needlessly simply because people do die.

anybody noticed that Trump has disappeared from public and is tweeting only about the fraud that cost HIM the election?

the lawsuits HE's filing to overturn HIS election loss,

HIS anger at Fox News for not being sufficiently supportive of HIM

he's following Melania's slogan: "I don't really care. Do You?

so we're looking at two more months of neglect of a mass casualty health crisis that threatens not just the health of all Americans, but the health of our economy...with a figurehead POTUS who has quit his job

going about our business as if the virus won't kill us is not a strategy that the vast majority of Americans will embrace...minimizing the death rate sloughs aside the very real health consequences and economic consequences caused by lingering health issues of the large numbers of people who survive with diminished health and quality of life ...as that number grows, less money will be available for growth of the economy, because it will be drained by expenditures in health care

upon re-opening fewer people ventured into restaurants and bars than pre-pandemic, school attendance was down...my son had similar laissez faire attitudes about the seriousness of the virus and continued to go out and do things, until a co-worker became infected and died...his employer has since required all employees to work remotely

You are making assumptions about my feelings for fellow Americans and you have no idea how I feel. You claim that I am apathic about the needless deaths of fellow Americans, the point is that I care about all the needless deaths from the result of the lock downs as much as you care about the deaths due to people not wearing masks. Are you saying that we need to care more for the Covid deaths than the other deaths?

Misanthropic, possibly considering the moral corruption of many Americans.

Spey, do you not watch any MSM propaganda?

They will tell you three things:

1. running something up the flagpole to test the winds (i e national control group)

2. The narrative they want to be pushed truth be damned.

3. What they are being told to push.

This isn’t a “party” thing......
