Reversing the codswallop called laws outlawing opportunities for the young and the working poor would be a good way to start. Stop making criminals out of the employable and the employer who would engage in mutually beneficial arrangements.
All the codswallop and pious moralizations by upper class bleeding hearts, paternalistic politicians and bureaucrats have not solved poverty or child labor anywhere in the world. Have they ever come up with ideas other than barking orders down to the peons, taxing and the welfare-state?

Always amazed at how young the Amish are working the yuni. At the market I saw a 8-9 yearling running the register and credit card machine putting in 10 hr days.
And I happen to know Jakobs family is EXTREMELY WEALTHY!
those little uns are happy to work their tookus's off and would fight you if'n you tried to stop'em.

Discipline and self denial. Separation from worldliness and pleasures of the flesh sounds very painful actually.
