LaAnthony has three dimes. A quart sized bottle of Schlitz Malt liquor costs $1.50...how many bottles of Schlitz can the brothers buy?

answer: none, because they couldn't figure out how much money they have in time before the store closed...

and B- the author of the posted link is a yuuuuge Devin Nunes guy, so that colors my opinion of anything he writes because of my own prejudices against the horrible person he supports.

Free and Impartial journalism? Not so much.

the idea that unconscious racist and cultural differences can seep into public education has been around a long time...I remember doing research on the topic when I was in college in the early 70's...

the basics: authors who write text books typically refer to their own personal experiences and may unintentionally make examples out of things, events, places that are common in the author's environment/culture but aren't in the culture of a child from a poor and disadvantaged area...for example; references to travel on an airplane or a boat, or playing lacrosse, or soccer, types of food, movies, TV shows...
