Although I am able to get around walking mostly with a cane, I am not able to fully enjoy any outdoor events (car shows, flea markets) that require lots of walking & am considering a mobility scooter. In researching them I realize there are a million different ones. I am wondering if anyone here knows about them. I am looking for a 4 wheel one, with a high weight limit 350/400 lbs.( I am nowhere near that weight). I find the higher weight ones have more comforts, bigger motors & bigger wheels.
Any help appreciated.

Bear in mind the bigger outdoor models have a higher top speed, and unlike a traditions power chair they’re not as programmable. I think they can adjust the sensitivity settings though without touching the speeds I think. Been a long time since I’ve dealt with them. Four wheeled models are harder to steer, not an issue if you have decent upper body strength just a heads up.

I know those old ladies at the grand canyon really like their rascals...

Z, thanks for the input. Upper body strength is not the issue. COPD & spine issues are the problem. I am surprised the 4 wheel ones are harder to steer. I realize the turning radius is wider but I felt the 3 wheel ones might turn over easier. I would have to try them out to ascertain if the speed is ok.

Before you invest in one, be sure to check the clearance/width of every door in your home. My FIL (RIP) got one and did not realize that the door jamb width to his bathroom was too tight for the unit. Had to get his bathroom doors and framing removed and replaced with wider units. Also investigate how the units are transported - car hitch? ramp to inside? If want to be sure you can drive somewhere and get the unit set up and functioning by yourself without assistance.

Bought a Jazzy 1103, used, for my wife about a year ago. Great unit, but very heavy...I agree with checking doorways for clearance....ours fits through all the doors except the bathroom, we did remove the bedroom door from hinges, to make it easier for her to get thru.
Also, very heavy, you will need a pickup with ramps, or a hitch mounted platform to transport it....I also setup a ramp to the house, because it's much to heavy to carry...upside is wife can get out and go places now, which was almost impossible without the chair...chair goes everywhere and can turn on a dime
