Research WOODMANS of Essex , Mass. Restaurant...
Since 1914 a very famous place...clams from the Ipswich and Essex bays in Mass....Frank loves that dump....
The guy (Woodman ) invented fried clams? Or oysters? And it is famous
And stuff . ..

Many recipes on web that copy or deliniate their clam chowder recipe...
P.S.????

I’m glad my name isn’t Noah. We would have all drowned by now.

I used the Legal Seafoods recipe. Good stuff. Full as a tick. Looks like the pot roast, butter beans, carrots and rice-n-gravy will be tomorrow’s lunch.

I have always gone there on my Info, message and contraband runs to Boston , mass. and Portland , ME during the 80's...it was Must go destination...then to the Little Island Motel to meet the foriegn mini subs at high tide...wake up late and eat loxs and bagels with Betty at the main lodge...or dinners of lobsters at Cooks lobster and ale hut or at Allen's rest. In harpswell , ME.

Oh I know Woodman's...but it's probably been a couple decades since there and even then it was a pilgrimage for fried clams.
I love clam chowdah but might be better at The Maine Diner. Still wouldn't drive very far for chowdah.

Closer to me and my favorite fried clams are at the Hingham Lobster (pronounced lobstah) Pound. Tiny dump on a dead man's curve on Rte 3A in Hingham, MA

Update... my sister said "No freakin' way am I giving you my recipe! Are you smoking weed?"

I guess I'm not her favorite brother. 😞

Edit: My niece just texted me... said, "I'm her only daughter and I got the wrong cookie recipe! If she sends it to you, it won't be right."

Also for the uninitiated:

If anybody raves about how thick their chowdah is then they don't know a damn thing about chowdah.
I'm not saying it can't be thick.
Just that it shouldn't be considered an attribute nor a goal. Just a potential resultant.
