The State of California has not relaxed any mask requirements based on the new CDC guidance.

The California Nurses Association (union) has urged the state to reject to new CDC guidance.

I think we've gotten to the point some thought we were at initially (they were incorrect at the time)

Just my opinion here, but some wanted to pretend initially that their actions didn't effect others or too bad if it did. Ignorant or selfish to me and had little to do with individual rights like they tried to argue. Much of it showed a lack of understanding of not just public health but individual freedoms and rights.

But now.... if I am immunized and joe idiot or mask less karen want to do their thing the risk to me is minimal. Now they are putting themselves at risk and mostly just themselves. Now I can accept their ignorance as pretty much only effecting them so they have the right to be an idiot. They were wrong before but now I can go along with it.

That is assuming you, kids etc have all had access to the shot.

Meh... still not getting the shot. When I was at Sam's club yesterday there was a guy sitting at a table by the pharmacy that asked me if I wanted the covid shot.

I have antibodies so I'm vaccinated better than vaccinated folks.
I'll carry the mask in the pocket just in case some Karen snowflake gets offended by my happy, healthy & handsome mask free countenance.
I always smile & comply till she's out of sight then put the fear diaper back in the pocket.

So even though I am 100% pro vaccine. 2 very specific acts related to all of this would/will cause me to renounce my citizenship, and I am dead serious. If our government ever mandates vaccination. If our government ever mandates SARS-COVID2 passports. Our passion for freedom is what makes us great.

Where I work, you get a one time bonus of $75 in your next paycheck if you have the vaccination certificate. You can also stop wearing a mask if they have your vaccination cert on file.

If not, no cash for you and strap that mask back on until further notification - it makes it easier to ID you as a mass murderer.

My point is that there is already momentum moving in this direction. Over the past year we've been taught to fear and distance ourselves from our neighbors and other humans due to Rona. Now there's some stigma attached if you don't get the shot or say you're not getting it.

That is a tipping point for us. I do believe the 2 I mentioned are likely.
