Looking for a soundbar recommendation.

I currently have a Sony Receiver with five small speakers and a sub-woofer that is going out. Every so often I get a loud pop out of the left rear channel. Since we only use it for TV noise I figured a simpler sound bar would be good enough.

If you have a Bose factory outlet near you you can get lucky if you stop by often enough

I have no valuable info, I'm not an audiophile. I just bought one on sale at Wally World earlier this week. 32" bar of some brand of some sort (Onn?). I have no meaningful info on them but you reminded me of a task I need to do today.

I gotta install it for a good friend of mine who refuses to get hearing aids so anything that's loud for him to hear. Thanks for the reminder.

Gene,
not too pleased with the soundbar (Bose I think) I bought. You have to use the remote on it to adjust the sound level, and turn it on and off. The one on the TV remote doesn't do anything... kind of annoying.

Roku if a good inexpensive one, but if your TV isn't Roku you have to put the app on your phone to interface.

Same question as Gene here.

Been looking at the selection of Costco. Vizio, Sonos and Bose are the in-store choices. Looking at the Vizio with sound bar, sub-woofer and two satellite rear speakers for like $200. I am no audiophile and am hard of hearing. Hope the Vizio will work be fine. Otherwise, I'll return it and buy something better.

Just run it through your stereo system (AUX) input. Sometimes low teck is good.

I have some Klipsch ProMedia 2.0 speakers with subwoofer for blasting (and I do mean blasting) tunes from the laptop. They make a variety of soundbars and the sound is pretty damn good.

Got a couple Vizio 29" a couple years ago.Sound great and about 2 bills for the pair.They sound great and haven't given us any trouble,that's all I ask for.

Then the TV remote can be used to adjust the volume. That's how I set up the one I did. It was a cheapie Onn from Wally World for something like $35. Nothing fancy but it serves its purpose.
