My first car was a 1970 Dodge Charger. I bought it cheap in 1976 due to the gas crunch. The problem was I could only afford about 9 gallons a week. So I didn't drive that much.

Same blue color as the picture but I don't remember naming it though.

Was a hand me down when my brother went off to college and I was still in high school.

- He totaled one car with it (minimal damage to the Fury) when I guy decided at the last minute to not turn left and turned back into traffic and side swiped the Fury.
- I totaled one car with it (minimal damage to the Fury) when a buddy and I were skipping school. My attention was drawn away looking at a chick and I rear ended my buddy's Volkswagen Rabbit.
- Sold it to a neighbor girl and she totaled one car with it. The Fury was still drive able but it was soon retired.

F'n thing was a beast... a tank on 4 wheels. Probably the safest car for any high school/new drivers who will likely get into an accident (this was pre-seat belts and air bags). Not so safe for opposite party in the accident.

Easily fit 6 people. 7 or 8 without sitting on anyone's lap. Additional 3 extra passengers could fit in the trunk. Vinyl bench seats front and back. Made the mistake of using Armor All on them once. When you took a turn, everyone slid to the to the other side (again, this was before seat belts).

Speaking of gas, if I held the pedal to the floor you could almost see the fuel needle drop.

A friend of mine's son is having his 30th birthday next month. She has like 50 people that RSVP-ed coming over and wanted a tent/canopy set up outside for overflow. No big deal, I recommended renting one since it will probably only be used once for this occasion.

She wanted to buy one. OK, let's look at what we can buy from Amazon or Walmart. As we scrolled through the ones, I made recommendations on which one to buy. I wanted one that's easy set up and tear down since I'll be the one tasked with doing so. I let her loose to pick from my suggestions.

She picked one out (outside of my suggestions) that hits on the desired size but didn't give me a warm and fuzzy on easy set up and tear down. I couldn't convince her on another one. The description didn't look that complicated for setting it up so I, hesitantly, told her to just buy it.

It arrived today. I opened the box. There's like 40 loose, thin walled poles that have to be fit together and a bunch of 45*, 90* elbows, Tee's and a 4 way cap at the pinnacle. I didn't even inventory to make sure all the parts are there. Just opened the box and saw the mess or random bags of loose parts, Fu#k... Think of the 1970's version of putting up a family size camping tent sort of thing...

I just jammed it all back into the box and set it aside for now.

I have a creeping feeling that it's going to be a cluster-f%ck setting this thing up. It will probably be a Chevy Chase-esque/National Lampoon birthday party scene when I have to set it up.

A block I lived on at one time had a set up like that as we partied as a group all the time. Even after much set up experience it took us about 3 hours to set it up.
