For me personally (it doesn’t look like it, but I have a amount of Indian blood in me) it doesn’t matter truly what these sports teams do. It’s the clamoring from people who bellow Racism wherever the can. Sports is just one of the battlegrounds popular now.

As a little kid, I remember highlight reels of the KC Chiefs. A wide receiver named Otis Taylor was fast and cool. A defender had a cool, tough name (Buck Buchanan). And in the middle of it was a guy named Willie Lanier.
Cherry red helmets. Arrowhead Stadium was being or was recently built. The whole thing was cool.
Family led me to become a Packer fan. I reconnected with the Chiefs in 1987. Not sure why.
I rarely follow anything NFL until the championship games. When I come upon the Chiefs playing, I’ll watch until the second set of commercials breaks the game and my interest up.
If they changed their name, I’d pay less attention until I had none. Not because the Let’s Separate Us Until There Is No Us has “won”. It is for the loss of another reminder of joy I once had as a child. Was once a Chiefs fan. Never was a - KC Protector, Iclusion, Breeze or whatever of flimsy, non controversial team name they would come up with sounding like a feminine hygiene product.
Funny thing. A partially Indian kid, loving three black players, wearing KC Chiefs uniforms takes chit for being Racist.
Not you. Those are the people that are an irritant.
