Bucky I get where you are coming from about Walmart. Wouldn't you come out ahead getting a part time IT help desk job somewhere? With the degree you are getting that should be an easy job to do for you now. Though I will be the first to admit it is a boring mindless job that would use very little of your skills.

Yeah, head hunters and recruiters keep sending me stuff for engineering jobs. I'll admit the offers are inciting if I wanted to continue doing that stuff. I really enjoyed it but the commute and corporate BS became a drag, I felt I needed a change to do something new. I argue with myself daily on going into Walmart and I'm getting close to to just saying F-it. I can finish up the school on my own dime. But if I add up the pros and cons... the Walmart gig still wins for now.

I prolly leach $1,500 a month off of them in "free money" if you add up what they kick in for tuition, 401(k) match, employee stock purchase plan, heath care insurance... I have to claim that "free money" as income when tax time comes (other than the 401k) but my reportable income is that of a college student... I'm in a poverty tax bracket.

No IT help desk job can match the benies that I'm milking from the Walmart gig right now

Kinda feel like my brain is drying up into a raisin doing this gig. But playing the stock market with a subset of play money and helping friends and family with their computer issues helps scratch the itch and keeps my brain lubed up.

Already changes at Arrowhead Stadium. It’s a matter of time. Last year the dress code changed regarding headdress etc. this year signage and naming conventions regarding the term arrowhead.

It’s hard to argue the Chiefs are about local politicians then call your field arrowhead, wear headdresses, tomahawk chop etc. it’s just not tenable. And a team called the Indians with a chief wahoo logo was not honoring Indians (or Jews right Frank?)

Nothing to do with rights or government. It’s private industry adapting to its customers.

None of it bothers me. I found chief wahoo hysterical in a totally obnoxious way. Removing him 2 years ago without changing the name didn’t do much to delink the 2. For those unaffected by stereotype and racism it’s hard to grasp how a minor change a short time ago doesn’t wipe the slate clean as you continue with pretty much same ol same ol

Many act as if racism doesn’t exist anymore. It does and it runs deep. Eliminating slavery was great, the civil rights movement was great, having a black friend is great, but none of it wiped our racism. Racism runs rampant still. I laugh at those that say having a black president was proof racism is gone. Actually it exposed more racism than I thought existed. Funny though, racism never occurs at the individual level for some reason. No one is ever racist. At least not according to many in here. News flash racism still exists no matter how much you want to deny it. It just does. And no that’s different than the lazy defense of accusing someone of calling everyone racist. If that’s in your playbook you just might be…..

As for the majority not being upset being called certain names that have never been associated with suppression or oppression compared to a minority who believes they have been suppressed and find the verbiage used to do so offensive ooooh take my breath away…..shocking….. duh

As for the Indians I hate the name change even though I understand the meaning of Guardians to the city. I also don’t want the Chiefs to change. I like tradition. The cardinals are not in AZ they belong in STL. Rams in LA. Dodgers in Brooklyn. Sporting KC is better than the Wizards though. And wtf is a brown?

It’s just change. And given what I’ve heard working with American Indians and Alaska Natives while I may not like or understand it it’s probably inevitable. I may disagree but a substantial minority group takes issue with it. That’s bad for business no mater what the white folk think.

Replacing a hard drive for a friend's right now. Fuxin thing couldn't "see" the the old hard drive. Thought it might be a motherboard issue. Ripped out the old one and put in a new one. Now it's running with fresh Win 10 install. Pain in the arse, with all the all the crap and Windows registration stuff starting from scratch.

Wanted to install Linux on it but that would throw him for a loop with endless support on my end. Windows 10 it is. Gonna have to neuter it and remove all the crap to minimize any aftercare.

You've interacted with me... you know I'm all for changing the Chiefs name... we can give them an Indian name... D*cked by Donkeys...

Ya... great name... but that has nothing to do with being offended by their name >:)

Triggerred is just my word for saying someone turned soft on something. Like the guy with a horse for his picture is clearly mad the Cleveland sports team changed their name. Soft.

That's triggerred.

When I generalize and lump people under a group... it doesn't necessarily mean you (arbitrary observer reading this sh*t).

Seriously... I know it's a sensitive topic for you though.

Show me on the doll where those lefty woke b*tches touched you.

Are you offended by or want the Chiefs to change their name? Truly don't know where you stand on the issue and if things are different for the Fighting Irish or Seminoles.

Triggered, as I understand it, is someone using a word, phrase or action that sets them off.
Haven't heard your definition before. Trigger could make someone go soft. Seems I've heard it in the context of it driving an aggressive response. Example; some cracker called a black man a nig. That triggered the black man to punch the cracker.

There are enough pseudo-woke people playing that card at every turn here.

For some, there is a racist around every corner, and there will always be another person more woke, who will feed on a lesser woke to fill their ego.

Dangerous game being played.

I've been alive ling enough to understand racism. Personally... I think all the teams will cave eventually. I've stated my position before... the teams have a right to protect their brand no matter of it's origins.

Now if new teams came along and wanted to name their team that's socially unacceptable, that's a different story.

Everyone exists in an era... what you are witnessing is a change of an era. Change is good, it means the system is evolving. Systems die when they stop evolving... or fill a niche as long as there's a need for it.

As far as people following me around... I don't remember a time when I didn't f*ck with them... I'm a natural troll... I don't even have to try... it's almost involuntary.

Here's one for you... I was at walleyworld with the wife in the female beauty product section... I notice I got a tail so I diverge and start bobbin and weaving through random aisles in the hygene sections, then I stop at the black hair products.

I acted like I was lootin, she comes up starts looking at product... old white lady... I handed her a random product, said some smart ass line. We laughed, I went about my business.
