I agree.

Went for a 4 miler early then took the wife's car in for some service that would take a few hours. Wife was at pickle ball game so I decided to walk home for a total of 8.2 miles on the day. Not the best way to lose 3 lbs but I'm gonna be drinking a few cold ones cus beer has water in it.

Went to the dmv for license renewal. Website said I had to bring a pile of identifying paperwork with me. Got it all together, went there, and the lady said she only needed my current driver's license.

New picture looks like a jail booking photo.

Similar story for our environmental guy at the plant, except not so lucky in that he had a 4ft long branch stab straight through his roof. Wasn't enough to put any of the family in harm's way happily

I had one, HUGE tree. I a was HUGE oak. It was out near the road/front yard with 2 major diversions from the main trunk. Since it was within 15 feet or whatever fro the read... the town officially owned it. It split halfway down from an ice storm. It took me few calls BS back and forth with the town and tree guys to learn that I'm not allowed to authorize for it to be removed and they were gonna send someone out to do it.

Half of the oak, a week later... it casts a looming shadow over the children's room The part of the house that, should it come down it's gonna crash into two kid's bedrooms... Talking with the town..."You won't let me take the tree down without some BS review and/or authorizations.. OK, you ready to deal with the repercussions (since it's technically your tree) if it comes down before you take it down?

You better figure out a way to clear it soon and... I mean this week.. if my kids are harmed from "your" tree falling on my house in the next few days, this is on you. I offered to take it out on my dime but and you denied.

Tree removal team showed up the following day. Question: Why do you need to be an **** to get anything done?

Bright side: Way less oak leaves to rake!!

Absolutely true.

There was nothing visibly wrong from the outside. Tree guy said oak trees are tricky. They hide their dying well. This one was growing and rotting happening inside the same tree.

Makes me wonder how many of the remaining six, 100+ year oak trees are in a similar situation?

A disease called Oak Wilt is slowly killing them all. The disease is as near as 3 blocks away. Bummer.

Dentist and Farmers Market on the agenda today after a good nap. Dog already walked.

Can't get into the Olympics. Not even the soccer.
