"cities with the highest crime" is a dumb statistic. Huge swathes of our country couldn't count as a city if they all combined their populations. Those are incidentally also republican strongholds.

When you break crime rates down by county however, you get a much different set of numbers. Outside of MS which appears to not be willing to report its data, a high percentage of the red and purple counties are in southern Republican states.

Sure... we can trust these 2 bastions of liberalism to show raw, unmanipulated data... no, no, no... don't go by city! That makes us look bad. Change the maps to counties!

Now Snopes is a bastian of liberalism. I suppose those who lie the most would find Snopes to be the enemy. If you look hard enough you can find I predicted that would happen here in the past week or so.
