Ahhh much better song to have stuck in my head. Do you remember when musicians could actually sing and play instruments? It won't be long before computers sing everything. Everything was better back in my day! Get off my lawn!

74 degrees, mostly sunny.

🇨🇮 A Hoyo de Monterrey natural Churchill listening to a Joe Rogan podcast with my dog on the deck.

Some quality hammock time. Any hammock time after Labor Day is a bonus.

I'm a fan of the early Chicago stuff, that featured horns prominently...25 or 6 to 4 comes to mind

I remember "discovering" them in late '73 when I first heard "Keep Your Head to the Sky". Their vocals were terrific! When "Open Our Eyes" was released, we used to play that album all the time in the store. Lotta people hadn't heard of them so they were "discovering" them too. Also loved their vocals on Ramsey Lewis' "Sun Goddess".

Watched a rocket launch from Cape Canaveral 50 miles away again tonight- from my driveway. Brilliant orange flame with blue and then almost a rainbow-effect. Lasted about 1.5 minutes until we couldn't see it anymore. Didn't see any boosters falling off, which is strange given how clear the sky was and how bright the flame was. Rare to have such cooperative lack of cloud-cover this time of year.

I miss that. Sometimes I could space see shuttle launches from Tampa. I was on base once during an Atlas launch because I was doing consulting work at NASA. The Columbia was on the launch pad. It was the mission where it disintegrated on reentry. As a kid I was on base for Apollo 17. I should try to get down to Vandenberg.
