RIP, Mr. Secretary.

On a side note, this country could use more men like Colin Powell, Norman Schwarzkopf and Chuck Horner.

These three made one hell of a team.

I posted the same (below) on the yellow cake op in the politics forum thinking it was needed to balance the expected denigration it invited...

blood cancer and stuff made it nearly impossible for his body to develop enough antibodies no matter how many jabs he took.
This is sad.

Basically set up by President Cheney and his partner Bush Lite at the time when fed false intel to report.

RIP, sir.

President Joe Biden called Powell “a dear friend and a patriot of unmatched honor and dignity.” Biden added, “Over our many years working together – even in disagreement – Colin was always someone who gave you his best and treated you with respect.”

Former president Barack Obama said Powell was “an example of what America – and Americans – can and should be if we wish to remain the last, best hope of earth.”

Former president Bill Clinton described Powell as a “courageous solider, a skilled commander, a dedicated diplomat and a good and decent man.”

George W. Bush, who as president named Powell the nation’s first Black Secretary of State, said he was a “a great public servant” who “was highly respected at home and abroad.”

And former president Jimmy Carter said Powell’s “courage and integrity will be an inspiration for generations to come.”

Then there was Donald Trump... Classy as always

"Wonderful to see Colin Powell, who made big mistakes on Iraq and famously, so-called weapons of mass destruction, be treated in death so beautifully by the Fake News Media. Hope that happens to me someday. He was a classic RINO, if even that, always being the first to attack other Republicans. He made plenty of mistakes, but anyway, may he rest in peace!"

RIP. Could have been President if he wanted to and I respect him for his decision not to be.

As a former Trump supporter, I’m truly baffled that anyone would give him the time of day, let alone support him in his apparent reelection bid. He is the most disgusting American to ever hold a public office. His 15 minutes of fame ended long ago. He needs to crawl back under a rock and rot.

EDIT:
McCain was an azzhole. But, that didn’t Trump license to say the things he said about him.

A man is measured by his ability to be dignified and rise to the level commiserate with one’s position in life. Based on that Trump is a double zero in my book.

Good Lord, Donald... all ya had to say was "May he rest in peace" or something more dignified.

Taking cheap shots at a man who just passed... ridiculous.

Cheney turned COLIN INTO A PATSY...

MADE HIM TOW THE "COMPANY" C.I.A. LINE FROM THAT FAT WORTHLESS DUMB PRICK DIRECTOR George Tenent...

What dumb f*k he was...a clueless fat boy ...

I know what it's like to be a patsy...

The biggest spies in U.S. HISTORY used my ass as one in 1986?87? Delivered an ice cream freezer to ft. Meade N.S.A cafeteria...the TWO DAVE'S ( DAIRY OWNERS) who arranged the deal...Never paid the price, like I did...

Just call me Mr. Oswald...
