True True...I was thinking about slavery the other day when I was wearing my cotton sweater.
I also think about slavery when da gubment demands I pay them a portion of my income or else.

Economic Slavery is the price of a monetary system that allows unbridled capitalism. Extreme concentration of wealth and wide spread poverty is the natural course. And as the system progresses, those in power are progressively less likely to be concerned about anyone other than themselves.

I think that's why they snuck in a tax cut for rich democrats in the ‘Build Back Better’ bill.

Ya Brewha may not support chattel slavery as no one would in this day and age but he does support economic slavery through taxation.

Instead of understanding history as it was in people's time and place, and the complexity of societies in the North and the South, he falls into the trap of homogenizing history into a cartoon version of the good Bullwinkle and Rocky against the evil Boris and Natasha. So the object of the “War of Northern Aggression” to him becomes the righteous angelic North that invaded the Confederacy to free the slaves. You have to really make some convoluted arguments that fly in the face of the historical record to come up justify that crap.
