When Jimi Hendrix wanted a lesson or advice who did he go to?

I've been listening to a LOT of Peter Frampton and his solos are simply amazing. The entire song is reigned back and then the solo explodes with a sonic fury. Doesn't lose a step live either.

Arguing about the the greatest guitarists is like arguing about who cooks the best grits. At the end of the day, their is a group of very talented musicians who though very different are very similar.

Prince does not get the credit he deserves, not sure about favorite but he would be high on the list. Eddie Wilson, Eugene Martone, Matt Murphy… all amazing!!!

I think most people who know anything about music know how great he was.

Prince is respected by musicians, most passing music fans don’t give him a second glance. He shines live on guitar for sure, look no further then the my guitar gently weeps jam.

Have a listen to a 16 year old Mikey Schenker...

Scorpions first album. Kid starts grooving at the 3 min mark and just hammers it for the rest. If you listen their bassist Lothar Heimberg was badass, too.

Scorps were a favorite of mine in HS. I think half the world never heard of them until rock you like a hurricane hit the airwaves.
