I wish online sellers would disclose who they use for shipping carriers at the time of the transaction. I would pay a buck or two more for certain carriers.

I really hate when they don't tell you they are using the USPS... Even the UPS to USPS handoff service is terrible.

Here is how USPS delivered a package to the house yesterday:

Truck drove up to the house, carrier leanded out the window and tossed the box into a Lantana bush. Granted, the bush is not the most vibrant life form, but it's not like it deserved to have a box tossed into it.

I hate the USPS. A lot.

When I was shipping/receiving at the lab, I learned all carriers have the capacity for chittiness. Tends to be down to individual drivers and whether they have any pride in their work

I think the best delivery drivers are with Amazon right now. Just my experience. Always left on the porch and you get an email with a picture of where they put it.

I am with you on this MACS. I also have faith in FedEX.

SOB, you are right, though. This was not my normal mail carier, it was a Sunday fill-in person.

FFS, Anothe USPS Sunday delivery debacle.

I ordered a few boxes of cigars as gifts to some clients. UPS Surepost (so USPS does the final delivery) was the delivery service.

This delivery was to a large office building in a busy shopping center area.

On Sunday, USPS dropped the box off outside one of the main (locked) doors to the building. Just left it there on the sidewalk. Not Joking.

One of the building maintenance workers found it this morning and had it, had no idea what it was or what to do with it until I called the building services to see if anyone had seen it.

Could have been worse, Stogie... some criminal dbags could be smoking your stash right now.

Porch pirates are a nuisance. A few days ago I came across an Amazon box on the sidewalk. Had some sort of plastic toy in it... not sure what else was in the box, but it was ripped open and the plastic toy was still in the box... so the criminal dbags didn't want the toy.

Some kid is wondering where the hell his toy is, though. smdh

Definitely could have been worse, these are first world problems... No one should get my Gurkahs and Mark Twains.

I just wonder what the d-bag USPS employee was thinking when he/she just left the box on the sidewalk... "Gee. this seems like the BEST idea."

As much as I hate the USPS, I spent 15 minutes on the phone with them filing a complaint. They are going to "get back to me". Lol.

Guess I'm the exception as I have had better luck with USPS. I know the mail lady and she has saved my bacon a few times in the hot weather by stopping by the house instead of leaving the box in the 140 degree lock box.

One exception: had a two box delivery that got caught in a loop going from Scottsdale to Gilbert (11 year old address) Az over and over for about 10 days. I finally tracked it down and had it held for pick up. That sucker was marked "out for delivery" daily but they just kept sending it back and forth.

Ravi got an earful from me after he assured me it was addressed correctly and I sent him a pic of the wrong address after I finally got my hands on it.

This is something with the Sunday delivery service, I think. Now that it has happened both residentially and at work, both on Sundays, I am sure they have the "B" team doing deliveries on Sundays.
