It's called an inventory status glitch that really annoyed me back in 2013-2014. Where have you been ? Your mother is worried, Frank has been looking for you too.

My guess is that they have shipment commitments from various suppliers, so they offer items for sale based on what they expect to receive. If a shipment is late or doesn't happen, the item you purchased may not physically be at the CBid wharehouse yet, so it's marked as "backorder" until it actually arrives at CBid.


TL;DR - Because logistics.

Find the Cbid cust service #. Call it. Wait on hold.
