I have two perfectos that have severely damaged heads. Is there any reason I can not smoke them from the opposite, tapered foot end?

You may run the risk of having the wrapper unravel.

Best to clip the head. Reverse smoking almost always unravels the wrapper. Sometimes I have good luck, but much of the time the wrapper unravels quickly [grr]
