It’s tough to smoke in NY when it’s 20 degrees out so a few questions:
1. I have a propane heater but it doesn’t really do the trick. I’m sitting and the heater is higher up. Anybody using anything different?
2. Gloves? The kind that you can text with? I play scrabble while I smoke and can’t use normal gloves
Thanks

20 degrees eh?
Too cold for me.
Besides, I find once it gets into the mid 30s or so, cigars just dont taste “right” to me.
Probably just me.

Move?

I gave away a tower propane heater because I never used it. Works great as long as you are setting under it. Looks like this but can be found for under $100.

The thing I have come to realize is that it does not "make you warm", it only makes you "not too cold".

Do you have a garage that you can heat?

I smoke in my garage. Have a natural gas fireplace out there that will heat it well on mild days 20-30s and I fire up the kerosene burner when it's really cold. Once the kerosene burner gets it to 70 I turn that off and the gas fireplace keeps the temps.

I have a patio heater too, but that's really only good for like 50 degree days.

Sorry, but 20 degrees Celsius is not all that cold to me. Stiffen up a little bit, man.

Gets cold here too. I put a wood stove in my shed. If I feel like a smoke I’ll light it and go back out in an hour. Sometimes I forget to light it but it’ll keep you as warm as you wanna be. Anywhere you can get out of the wind with some sort of heat

On my top 10 of books to read. That doesn't answer your original post questions though.

I don't smoke as often as I use to but when I do, during the cold months here in MA, it's indoors next to an open window and a fan that exhausts out. It works for me but as I said, I'm not smoking 3 cigars a day. Maybe once a week or so. More in the summer months but that is mostly done outside while going on a walk around the pond/lake on the nearby trails

I’ve thought of getting a heater for when the humidity is 60% or less, the winds more than 15 mph and temps drop below 69F. In lieu of one, I bundle up in sweatpants, sweatshirt and socks to stay warm. Never thought of using gloves but that might be something to consider too.

Smoke inside when it's cold. Makes it easier.

Anything below 30 is a challenge for me so I go to a small pipe and tough it out for 10-15 minutes or just say fogetaboutit.
