Dudes…
So after enjoying cigars for over 20 years & bugging these guys since ‘16, I am Tucson’s newest tobacconist! I start tomorrow @ 9am @ my local B&M.

I am a cook by trade after being in the I.T. Industry for 20+ years. I took a few years off to “find myself”. Got disillusioned by computers & making other people money. Hiked most of the Appalachian Trail & The Pacific Crest Trail. Lived in Moab in the back of my truck for a couple of months. When I rejoined society I got into to cooking which is something I always wanted to do professionally.

In the back of my mind though I always thought, what would be my dream job and working for a cigar shop just sounded like the perfect place for me. I’ve dedicated a lot of my life to cigars. This is truly a passion to me & what’s better than doing something professionally that you love. As a mentor of mine once said “the secret of happiness is not doing what one likes, but liking what one has to do”. I know I need a paycheck so what better place to finish my career than a cigar shop. I’m 55 now and will most likely retire here.

Anywho…didn’t mean to be so long winded but I wanted to share my joy with you all. Wish me luck guys, gonna be an interesting day!!

Thanks Lee. Yeah we can smoke all day if we choose. Get a pretty decent professional discount as well.
They carry most of my favorite stuff so I’ll for sure be smoking a couple a day @ least.

I think you should expand the business to out to North Central, MA. My little town has a few of open store fronts downtown looking for business to fill them. Sadly, MA tobacco laws/taxes have not made it cigar friendly but I think our town still has one pot shop license available.

Sell some pot in the front and in the secret back room, sell cigars. Kinda like a reverse speakeasy.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes! First day is in the books and had a blast. 13 hrs & it felt like 6. Day flew by.
Smoked 3 killers cigars and did very well sales wise. Made some nice $ tips wise and seemed everyone liked my recommendations.
Will be back at it tomorrow but time for a little sleep. Thanks again everyone!
