I’ve always maintained that Pete was a HoFer but he totally fugged up when he bet on baseball and refused to admit it and apologize when he had a chance to show some contrition. Always felt that he would NEVER get in while he was alive. I guess now the writers can vote him in.

Charlie Hustle gambled on baseball.

He signed his punishment.

If he goes in, it’s in the special asterisk room IMO. And I like him FYI.

There is absolutely NO doubt he belongs in the HoF. Did he screw up? Yeah... he did. Doesn't diminish his contribution to baseball one whit, IMO.

Rest in Peace, Mr. Rose... hopefully you're in the real deal HoF and this baseball crap don't matter now.

I admired his game and grit...definitely going into the HoF now...shoulda been in years ago, when betting on sports left the dark world and became mainstream...


the NFL practically demands that its fans place bets every week...important income stream now...

He lied every step of the way before he agreed to a lifetime ban which makes you wonder what he was truly hiding to accept such a plea. I believe there’s still more to the story that we’ll never know. He was a great player, not so much outside of that though,
