Disagree
Foot bands have a purpose, especially for those who drunkenly rummage through a humi or cooler looking for a certain cigar, that they forgot they smoked the day before….
You know who I’m talking about.

I think the bigger problem is cigar manufacturers not putting their sticks in cello.

They can put bands anywhere they feel like, as long as they keep their glue under control. Nothing worse than a band that's molecularly bonded to the wrapper

THIS right here.... the extra .5 of a second it takes to remove a foot band or piece of ribbon doesn't even register for me... its when they don't care enough to make sure the glue isn't stuck to the wrapper that i have a problem with.

Bingo! Usually isn’t hard to just pull it off, but sometimes there’s enough glue slathered on there it damages the wrapper to get it off. At least on the foot isn’t too bad, but doing that when removing the ring band and then flaking the wrapper for the whole smoke can be bothersome. The foot band serves a purpose, and I’m sure manufacturers would rather cut costs and not use them but some think they are vital to protecting the foot as well as looking nice.

But what else can they do with leftover holiday ribbon pieces.

foot bands tightly applied with scotch tape...there oughta be a law...

just as bad as over-glued bands that won't come loose with a quick finger nail pry, needing a thin knife blade to remove...PITA

but bands glued to the wrapper, removal which causes damage to the precious wrapper leaf...ruins the whole relaxed cigar smoking experience...
