I bid on six singles, and so they send me something saying a won one single,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,really that was a bundled bid so they break it up? last time here getting ready to call my bank and cancel the transaction. it makes no sense to ship a single cigar and pay taxes and fees.

Put up the link so we can help you.

A bundled bid is a made up thing. Rules say you can't make things up and expect sympathy.

First off, I would hope you have your shipping set to weekly.

Second, buying from this site requires a little thoughtful strategy with regard to shipping cost. You will eat that first $7 and change no matter what you win. Sure is gonna hurt if you only win a single.

Set your shipping day. Look to win something the day after your shipping day or soon after. That gives you close to a week to bid and win other items that will cost $.25 - $1 additional each for shipping.

Like you said, it makes no sense to pay for shipping, tax, etc., for a single cigar

Drafter has a good nose for a guy who likes Marlboro red heaters.

I bet he could follow the sandy vagisil odor easy.

I am new here. When you win an item when does your card get charged? I am on weekly shipping.

Thank you in advance

Although I haven’t won anything in 3+ years, unless the SOP has changed, your CC gets charged when your order ships.

I don’t really understand people’s confusion about how this site works. They have clearly written explanations readily available that explain their shipping process and how they charge for it, as well as how auctions work. It may take a little perusing around and winning a couple odd auctions before you really get the hang of it and figure out how to get the most out of this site, but not reading any of the clearly written FAQs and whatnot and just flying by the seat of your pants is a sure fire way to be disappointed.

Yep, everything you said. I figured out very quickly that the way to get the best deals here is to buy the largest packs you can, not singles of anything. Cigars, Boveda packs, doesn’t matter, wait for an auction for a bunch of them. You might pay a slightly higher price per cigar or Boveda pack (if you’re impatient and don’t wait for a better auction), but paying $0.20 more per Boveda pack when buying a lot of 20 sure beats paying a whole dollar for shipping per individual pack when buying a bunch individually.

But as per our usual arrangement, some people put no effort in, and are somehow surprised when they are disappointed with their results.
