He can die now that he's not the worst President the Democrats installed and then threw a coup on.

Meh.

I don't have fond memories of Carter.
I remember when Reagan got elected.
Everybody I knew couldn't wait to get rid of the peanut farmer.
It's kind of like what it is with Joe now.

I agree.

I think anyone who took on the Presidency in that time frame was inheriting a tough uphill battle. Inflation out of control, oil embargo, turmoil in the Mideast and so on. One of his great accomplishments, in my opinion, is he was able to find some level of temporary peace with the The Camp David Accords.

After his Presidency, he worked in other areas such as the Habitat for Humanity to try to improve people's lives. I remember one summer when I was in college that some of us volunteered some weekends for the Habitat for Humanity. It was heart warming and eye opening to being able to put in some sweat labor helping to build some houses around the outskirts of Madison, WI.

I don't really follow what former Presidents do after they leave office but I think Carter did a lot for charity and promoted that folks to do the same within their power to do so.

His work with "Habitat for Humanity" was a major
Reason people and business's donated many $$'s to this organization that they never would have gotten...
Just a decent dedicated man...
Even the last 75 yrs of U.S. president's can't claim a more normal moral person to hold that office...perhaps Gerald ford, Eisenhower or
Harry Truman could even be nominated for this consideration, out of the president's in the last 75 yrs
