I said something mean to LE Hocky Dad, so he told me the only way out of his dog house was to eschew bagels for a year and only eat croissants.

So I’ve been hitting Costco every week to stay true to my promise.

I do miss an everything bagel, toasted, lox and cream cheese.

Oiyvey I’m all mashhuga.

Also, in 2016 I got blocked by a BOTL from here for having a celebration bagel when Bernie Sanders lost the fixed race. He said “That’s it man, that is completely classless!”
FYI he isn’t in the tribe.

Don’t know of any good delis in my neck of the woods so I generally buy plain ones, toast them at home and put on soft cream cheese - plain, blueberry and strawberry are my favorites. I do like smoked salmon but rarely have it on hand.

Cheese bagel with chive and onion cream cheese.

My favorite bagel is a salt bagel. It's a plain bagel with pretzel salt on it. PriceChopper bakery (local grocery store) makes fresh bagels overnight and sometimes I can find salt bagels there if I go there early morning.

Also in the sights are Pumpernickel bagels, onion bagels, everything bagels. Toasted with chive cream cheese.

was in Las Vegas the past few days with wife Kelly, my sister and her hubby. We went to the Main Street Station for their buffet, as we usually do. Had a plain toasted bagel, cream cheese, smoked salmon, capers and a slice of very ripe tomato...best bagel this side of the deli in Palm Springs where they serve an everything bagel with chopped chicken livers and cream cheese...

it's an acquired taste...even the waiter raised an eyebrow when I ordered it, as I don't look like the typical customer who orders that item...I assured him that I have eaten chicken livers (and gizzards) since child hood...Mom would fry them up every now and then as a reminder of the old country for Dad...

LOL.

Me: everything bagel with Philadelphia brand cream cheese that must come in a block. None of that whipped, low fat or flavored crap.

As to traditional bagels they are:

Everything
Salt
Sesame
Poppy
Onion
Rye
Pumpernickel
Deep fried with cinnamon

No particular order. Did I miss any?

And then, there are "so-called bagels" like: asiago, blueberry, cherry, jalapeno and other crap.
Those are DONUTS! [whip]
