I read that quickly and thought it said “tomato sirens”. I had to look and see if I was in the farming thread.

All clear.. fast moving storm... happens alot this time of year... 😟

That stuff is heading my way. Also got some warm stuff coming out of the south. Guess they will collide in upstate NY and we will be blessed with winds and rain here in MA.

I'm fine with that. Don't have to snow blow or shovel wind and rain.

Going to be a sloppy work day. Moderate/heavy rain over the last 12+ hours. Expected to turn to snow in a couple hours.
The wind is going to be a bear- 21-27 mph sustained, gusts up to 45.

A day to hold only car doors.

Have a fine day, Bucky, and all also who check in.

Morning folks. More weather headed east. Only 56/65 here today. I see an annual appointment with the optometrist or ophthamologist today.

Good Thursday Morning to All! It's a windy 45° on the way to 61° today. Getting ready to head to an Indoor ARA match in Mississippi Saturday.

Great experience with my local Chevrolet dealer yesterday. My Silverado had a reduced acceleration check engine code. A software update didn't fix it, the error came back yesterday. Took the truck back to the dealer. it needed a new cooling control valve, a known failing in the 3.0 diesel engine. They gave me a loaner to get home and said it would be done by noon today. There was a Tahoe getting the same part and mine would be next. About 1730 last night they called and said it was ready. They left my truck out front and had me drop off the rental car key in their drop box.

They have always taken car of us and our older son was a mechanic for them before he moved on to heavy equipment and tower crane repairs. I give them all my vehicle business. It prolly doesn't hurt that I bring them four dozed doughnuts when my truck gets serviced. :-"

grilled a couple of ribeye steaks for lunch with my wife today...stir fried some string beans with sliced mushrooms and onions...then it began to rain about an hour after lunch and has kept on for most of the afternoon and early evening...we need the rain here in SoCal...

but we can do without the wind...gusts of 20-25mph every once in awhile...

been relaxing and reading while confined to quarters...didn't get out for my walk, so I'm feeling lethargic...
