Home safely. Wife's been cranky all day but what set her over the edge was me getting us all on the wrong shuttle bus.

I park at the Marriott Ohare when I fly out of ohare. They run a shuttle every half hour on the hour. We got to the shuttle section at 835 and it wasn't there, so gotta wait 25m. They're always prompt. But then the Marriott Ohare shuttle pulled up at like 843. Okay late/early whatever I'll take it. Load up, get in, driver gets in and I thought the time is odd. Because there's two Marriott Ohare properties. One on River road (who run their shuttles at 15 and 45 i learned today) and the one I park at, on Higgins. So I asked if we were going to Higgins. He said no, this is bus for River road. So we got off and waited 10m for the right one to come.

If that was my biggest mistake in the entirity of the trip I'm doing damn good.

Smoking the last of the cigars I brought with. So much nicer to sit in my recliner for cigar time than walking while smoking.i think I need to just stick with camping trips.

Finding that sweet balance for my lady of getting much done, without wearing her out as her 55 hour a week job is chipping away at her.

Working on neglected chores/post vacation stuff.

My marching today consists of not marching. Well I will march into the kitchen and cook up some steak tips later and some chicken breasts that I thawed out. Prolly do a Jamaican Jerk marinade with the tips and just grill the breasts for some chicken Cesar salad for pack and go lunches during the week.

Pretty overcast and gray day for the weather. 40's with rain coming in then temps gonna drop overnight for a dusting of snow. Maybe tell my Son to let his car idle for a few hours to help with that Global Waring thing.

3D printer is printing another round of bird houses. Gonna give them out to the local bird watchers club so they can put them out on the trails, in their backyards, around the local lakes, ponds, fields and stuff so our feather friends can find a sheltered home to make a nest.

I want to so some bat houses too. Bats are great at eating pesky bugs. They are a natural form of insect control.

Batman Rises...

Bats are great Bucky. I've got a half dozen bat houses out back. Love watching them at dusk in the summertime.

Finished my chores today. I complained about tourist traffic last week but it's got nothing on regular northwest Indiana traffic. Took 3 hours to go to grocery store, car wash, gas station, feed store, and post office.

You saw the worst traffic this area has to offer by far. There is only one road north to Prescott, Sedona and Flagstaff and the weekends are the heaviest times.

My neighborhood is off a 2 lane road. Nearest cross street is a 4 lane road. The cross street at the other end is a 6 lane road.

Construction is underway to turn the 2 lane into a 4 lane. It's not horrible, but it is annoying at certain times. I do my best to avoid it at those times.

Something changed. I'm in the Hotel California setting- I can subscribe at any time I like, but I can never unsubscribe.
The good news is, it has been the biggest challenge of my day, for which I am surrendering.
