Hey everyone,

I am a noob here on the forums. Been lurking and buying on bid for a couple months now. I was into cigars long time ago and had so many I took about 10 years off, just smoking one maybe once a year. Re-did my basement and put in a small lounge and a bourbon bar and now I smoke about 2 a week.


I am a huge bourbon guy but still learning the profiles of cigars and pairings if any.

I seem to like maduro's and full flavored although I love Macanudo Gold. Part of that could just be the experience from years past as that used to be what I would smoke all the time.

Anyway, look forward to chatting with everyone, I have thick skin and love to be roasted and roast back. Just ask my friends.

Thanks everyone. Cheno- My normal go to is Eagle Rare. For the price, flavor and consistency it is hard to beat. I have quite a few bottles and I like to jump around. I'm a fan of a lot. I really like Southern Star Paragon, Weller 12 and FP. I like Larceny barrel proofs a lot as well. As for a grown man naked, yes I am in EMS so yes.

As for taking them out of the cello, I read it's probably better to but then again every single shop I've been in doesn't so it probably doesn't matter.

South subs of Chicago here. My go to bourbon for my daily is anything 100 proof, bib, and cheaper side, old granddad, old Forester typically. Weekends is a different story, usually a barrel proof I find or store pick. I typically just buy what I find, it's hard here too find most of the good ones that are now crazy on secondary market. I refuse to over pay more that 10% of MSRP. Now I may of sold some like that but that's a different story.

Cheno- Do you like OGD 114? I tried that the other day at a friends, pretty good stuff and for the price hard to beat. As a shelfer for us, OF 1920 and Makers 101 are sort of my go to's. Mostly because they pair so dang good with any cigar I pair them with. Which OF do you normally drink and do you normally smoke with it? If so, which smoke is your go to?

Sunover- Yea pancakes is probably more Ohio however I tell everyone I'm just a southerner living in Ohio LOL. A lot of people crap on Ohio but we do have all 4 seasons. Sometimes in one day. Like this week lol. Do you have family in Ohio and ever make it back this way?

If you have not tried it yet get you some Mckenna 10 year, for the price i can not find anything i like better... Eagle Rare is a close second though.

Question about camping... if you were camping with a buddy and he slips it in... would you tell anyone?

if it is shipped Cello on... it lives cello on... it is breathable and protects the wrapper... i have asked every manufacture rep i have ever talked to and they say the same... as do the rollers i have encountered at factories.
