They have been down for "site maintenance" for weeks now.

I had an email exchange with them 2 weeks ago or so, asking what was up.
They are doing an extensive “overhaul” of the well known place, the scary place and the other place you speak of as well.
I was told it would be about………..wait for it……………..three months!

I wrote back……three months!!??
That is NOT how overhauls are done. You keep your site up while developing the new site inhouse….working out da bugs and glitches………then you take down the old, and launch the new.

They apologized for the “temporary closure” and inconvenience.
I said temporary closure? 24 hours is a temporary closure. 72 hours is a catastrophic fuqup.
Three months??
That is simply FUBAR….

That has the sound of it not coming back at all. Or, something else going on like a sale of the company or etc.

I'm on a buying hiatus...for three more months...they're shutting down in observance, re-opening to accommodate my buying spree...hopefully they'll expand their inventory to include stuff I'd like to buy...

How about just an Itty bitty 5 pack? You'll hardly even notice it, and then I can fleece Leebot of his money

I had the same thought, but tried to block it out, given that this outfit is one of the largest, if not THE largest privately held online cigar outlet left…..and one of only two auction sites worth a chit.
If the Zaretsky’s sell to one of the conglomerates, it is gonna suq for those of us who still use auction sites.

I noticed the site being down a while back, had no idea it would take them that long. You are right. Normal companies get the new site ready before taking the old one down.

I use their site regularly. I have some stuff I want, and a lot of the times, the auctions don't have a lot of bidders, so I almost always win. It's like finding a good sale.

You can probably sign up for said notification as well.
I think…………….they should offer us all 40% off ONE item, no restrictions and free shipping, at the well known place, as sort of a mea culpa for this “upgrade” chit show.
