I am at my girlfriend's parent's house in New Jersey. The family is celebrating her 22nd birthday with the relatives. I bring out my cigar caddy and hand her father 5 cigars: CAO Brazilia, Gurkha, La Perla Habana, Leon Jimenes, and Hoyo de Monterrey Dark Sumatra. I always have some good smokes for him whenever I visit. He pulls out his leather case and hands me and his brother in law a Lone Wolf Churchill.

I was caught off gaurd and didn't know how to react. But you wanna know what? We both smoked it, as well as her uncle. They burned great, smelled good, and had a nice mild flavor. I am not one for mild cigars, and I have never planned to buy a Lone Wolf, but I was quite surprised. It wasn't a bad smoke, and I now disagree with many of you 🙂

Anyway, that's my confession. Let the lashing begin!

Steve,

I'm gonna believe that YOU didn't say that. What I do believe happened was that you signed on here and forgot to close out, thus allowing some mischevious family member an opportunity to discredit you by posting the lone wolf story. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Steve, would you like a straw hat to smoke too? After reading that story I went into the den and retrieved the household copy of The Manly Manual. Page 55, paragraph 3 and I quote:

"After the offending deadbeat takes the better gift and offers trash then it's okay to take back your present and proceed to trash the place. In some cases it's all right to declare the party over and go home in THEIR car provided it's more expensive than yours."

I'm not a stickler, but I think you buckled. What's next Swisher Sweets..."Hey! That burned good and tasted GREAT!"

What? You gave your to-be-father-in-law 5 top notch smokes. 'scuse me, I thought you sait it was your GFs B-day. Hand him one to smoke with you and gift him some of your second best stasch. Apparently he isn't that experienced to the cigarworld and he'd think the world of you anyway. - What I mean is, don't throw your best smokes after him.

i.am.steve, we understand that you typed that while said offender was looking over your shoulder. Please, PLEASE post your true thoughts under a cryptic heading (example: the large dog walks backwards).
Do as the good Dr. says. If it's too late, go back take some stuff, piss on the cat, and put some bananas behing the couch.

Now you know their tastes. Stock up on dog rockets for your visits. They probably would go crazy over some cheap candellas. They probably think your smokes are too harsh and taste horrible.

Save your good stuff for yourself and others that enjoy better smokes.

The Lone Wolfs were given to him by a co-worker of his. That was his first time smoking it as well. He does enjoy finer smokes, which is why I bring him cigars all the time. I even gave him one of my humidors. I am trying to steer him away from the usual Montecristo and Macanudo, and get him to smoke real cigars 🙂

As for holding my good cigars...I am not worried, since those were in my "friends and trades" section of my humidor. The "steve only or die" portion of the humidor holds my best smokes. He will only see those in his leather case if I marry his daughter.

I knew I would get a lashing due to this confession, but I had to be truthful. I wouldn't call it one of my favorites, but it wasn't bad at all, and I have definitely had worse.
