I'm in the midst of working on the yard and I notice the Mr. Mailman struggling with something at the box.

Come to find it's a package from the one and only JHC. Upon opening it, I realize why Mr. Mailman had a problem. It was filled to capacity! 10 premium cigars, to include a Victor Sinclair Primeros chisel, Rocky Patel Reo, Punch Rare Corojo, CAO Criollo,H.Upmann, Monte Cristo, Indian Tabac, Gispert, and...saving the best for last... what I suspect to be the much anticipated Ambassadors from John Hay Cigars. A maddie and I believe the CT wrap. I cannot wait to try them. Will have to bring it to a CJH night to show it off!

Oh, but that's not all! Packed tightly inside was a Harley Davidson torch lighter, and a cigar cutter to ensure I have nothing to prevent me from enjoying these fine cgiars from this great BOTL.

Thank you Dave and Lauren. You know what they say about payback. 🙂

John....don't get too excited. They are the PA broadleaf "Cadets" with the new band. I think they look much better than in cello. Hope you enjoy. Sounds like you deserve acouple after all the yard work. So you have your own outdoor fish tank....sounds nice!!

Have a good weekend.

Wow, it looks like it's hand rolled. I'm sure I'll enjoy it. But you promised you would tell me when the Ambassador is in.

The fish tank is a 20'x23' hole in the ground that's about 3' deep. I began the year with about 80 fish and they, well you know...multiplied.

I have to thank you again, it was unexpected and appreciated.

Dave,

Loved the JHC natural wrap. I fired it up early this morning while tending to the smoker with a cup of coffee. Nice cigar! I can't wait to try your new flagship cigar.

And the lighter, I think it's going to be my goto lighter for a while. It fired up all 5 cigars without any effort (don't worry only two were mine - I shared some Redleg Reserves this evening).

Thanks again!

Speaking of smoking, how did the turkey turn out?

I was wondering there for a minute when you said you lit 5 cigars. That would ahve been at least 10 hours of smoking a turkey while smoking a stogie.

I've got to work on the turkey smoking.

The ham came out awesome, but the turkey came out a bit dry. But at the end of the night, there was nothing left, so it couldn't have been that bad.

This was practice for Thanksgiving, when I'm smoking AND frying turkeys.
