BTL that they would be willing to trade for some 858sg. I am looking for about 2-3 of them with the same number in SG's for trade. I was gifted one of these from another board and I would like to get at least 2 more.

they should be showing up soon. there's a couple of locals around here that should be getting them. you might just wait to see if your local gets some, unless you already know that it's not going to happen.

I would not consider 1 for 1 to be an = trade - just MHO.

That's actually over a $10 different in MSRP, however 858 SG is harder to get than BTL, but I agree with you bass

I don't think Bassdude was saying it's unequal because BTL were worth more, I think he said it was unequal because the SG is MUCH more valuable than the BTL... No question, not even trade. Cad, you'd be getting jipped.

Cad, e-mail sent.

I may have one or two. I'll need to check when I get home.

nope, BTL are much higher $$ per - 858 SG is harder to find.

It all depends on how you look at it and what value you place on rare. I can buy BTLs but I refuse to pay more than $10 per stick on 858 SG.

Going price in my area:

BTL $16 (when you can find them - should be in most shops in 2-3 weeks if they get any)

858 SG retail $5 (if you can find these - they usually go for about $10 from a collector since they have not been made since 2002)

I think you can still buy 8-5-8 SGs from some rare cigar dealers for $300-325/box ($12-13) dollars a stick. BTLs on the same sites are upwards of $20.

Some lucky bass-tards can find them for less! LOL

I suspect that the price of these will increase each year they are not made, and as the quantity available decreases (duh), but I think the BTL still has the edge simply because both sticks CAN be found, but the BTLs will cost more.
