Hello, cbid folk,

Wondered if any of y'all had opinions (hopefully informed ones...ha ha).

I have a display-style humidor, with a backdoor for storing boxes. So, I want to use the extra space to age some boxes of cigars, and wondered how I should do it. Some options (if you think of others, just say so):

1. Open box, de-cello the cigars, close the box and let sit.

2. Leave the box's plastic wrap, and let sit.

3. Take plastic wrap off box, but leave cigars in cello and let sit.

4. Leave box open with or without cello on cigars.

Any suggestions? I'd appreciate any help. I've been smoking for awhile, but never bought enough to set aside some for aging (yes, I have the c-bid curse/addiction), so don't know quite how to proceed.

Thanks in advance. I've learned a lot from previous threads.

You MUST leave the cello on--never forget that. Unless of course you take it off but the cello MUST be either on or off. Unless you slice the ends off or slit the seam.

Also they should either be in or out of the box which you should leave either open or closed.

I hope that helps.

If they are gonna sit for a long time you can do any of the above. There are probably thousands of boxes sitting in warehouses or at Ricks house that are using all of the above methods.

I would take the plastic off the box just because I like to make it whistle between my butt cheeks.

Thanks for the feedback. Sure, I know that these are all used in warehouses, but I wanted to see if there was any 'optimum' way of aging.

Appreciate the advices, everyone.

Store them in large bowls of water @ 40 degrees and microwave 35 seconds before smoking. Smoke with the cellophane on. Remember to light your candle with burning wax.

I meant the cigar with burning wax. I think the burning cellophane is kicking in.
